Winter Whites

All these frigid temps have me stuck in a wardrobe rut. I'm so ready to ditch these chunky sweaters and heavy coats for my shorts and sandals. But until then, I'm doing everything I can to brighten up my outfits. I've noticed I've been reaching for my white denim more than usual lately for this exact reason. So if you're stuck in a rut like me, try adding a touch of white!

Grandma's Banana Bread

I can't believe it's taken me this long to finally share my grandmothers banana bread recipe with you all. It's by far the most simple recipe out there and it makes the most delicious banana bread you'll ever have, I promise!

  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Stick Margarine
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 1/2 Cups Flour
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 2 Large or 3 Small Bananas

  • Cream sugar and margarine together until fluffy
  • Add in the egg, flour and baking soda, combine
  • Mash bananas in a separate bowl, stir into flour mixture
  • Bake at 350 degrees for one hour

*For 3 mini loaves (as seen in the photo above) bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes (or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean)

Valentine's Day Rice Krispie Treats

I wanted to share the easiest and cutest Valentine's Day treat with you today. This is one of the simplest treats that really makes people think you spent forever in the kitchen.

  • One Sheet of Rice Krispie Treats (I buy mine at Gordon Food Service)
  • Cookie Cutter
  • Frosting
  • Sprinkles
  • Cardboard Straws
  • Cellophane Bags
  • Ribbon

  • Using the cookie cutter simply cut out hearts using the entire sheet of Rice Krispies
  • Insert cardboard straw into the bottom of the heart
  • Frost hearts and decorate with whatever toppings you like
  • Allow frosting to set before placing in cellophane bags and tying with ribbon

Spread the love to your friends and family with this simple, adorable Valentine's Day treat!

Leopard Lovin'

I scored this awesome leopard coat on MAJOR sale at Vintage Charm last week during their winter sale. I love how it looks dressed down, but I can't wait to jazz it up a bit some time soon!
